The Amazon rainforest, the largest tropical rainforest in the world, spans nine countries and covers approximately 6.9 million square kilometers. It houses nearly 16,000 tree species and about 390 billion individual trees, playing a critical role in regulating the Earth's climate by storing an estimated 90-140 billion metric tons of carbon.

The Amazon faces significant threats from logging, unsustainable agriculture, and forest fires. Through our partnership with One Tree Planted, we support projects that protect primary forests and restore degraded land. Local farmers are involved in sustainable agroforestry, planting shade-grown cocoa, native tree species, and productive timber species, supported by training and technical assistance.
